INSPIRE Evidence Update Policy Briefs

This series of policy briefs follows the release of the INSPIRE Evidence Update, published in 2025. The briefs provide plain-language summaries of the Evidence Update findings for each INSPIRE strategy.

The INSPIRE Evidence Update synthesised findings from systematic reviews and primary studies. The review draws on studies representing diverse settings and populations, and applies a rigorous evidence-decision matrix to assess the quantity, quality, and consistency of effectiveness across contexts for each of the programmes and policies in INSPIRE’s seven strategies. The analysis included 216 systematic reviews, covering more than 3 000 primary studies, and ranked more than 30 intervention categories across the seven INSPIRE strategies. This project is the world’s largest evidence review to date on how to prevent and respond to violence against children.
