WHO Video: Violence against children can be prevented (English and Portuguese)

video

Globally, violence affects one out of two children every year. In addition to the wide range of immediate and life-long harmful consequences to individuals and families, violence against children also undermines investments in health and education and erodes the productive capacity of future generations. Fortunately, we know what works to prevent violence against children, and technical guidance on how to do this is readily accessible in the INSPIRE: Seven strategies to end violence against children technical package.

The Global status report on preventing violence against children 2020 charts countries’ progress in using the evidence-based strategies included in this technical package, identifies gaps, and makes recommendations for boosting INSPIRE implementation efforts and accelerating national progress.
